Your information

Privacy
& cookies.

How MacVault uses information for baskets, enquiries and orders, alongside optional website analytics.

Your basket

Your browser can save the product identifiers, quantities and basket revisions needed to restore your selection on this device. Names, addresses, messages and payment-card details are not saved in the browser basket. If browser storage is unavailable, the site explains that your selection may be lost when you leave the page.

Enquiries and orders

When you send a contact message or availability request, MacVault receives your name, contact details, topic, message and any selected items so the team can respond. Accepted messages are saved with a request reference. A secure session, anti-spam field and rate limiting help protect submissions. Checkout also asks for a delivery address. Accepted requests and orders are stored privately for customer service and order administration.

Payment-card details are entered with SumUp on its hosted payment page. MacVault uses the payment provider’s verified result to update the saved order. A private order link allows access to limited order, payment, invoice and recorded fulfilment information; keep that link private. Order-link recovery checks the reference and checkout email, then queues a link to that address if the details match. The recovery page does not reveal whether an order exists.

Contact MacVault using the details below for questions about information held for an enquiry or order.

Website analytics

MacVault uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this website, such as which pages and products are viewed, additions to a basket, checkout starts, accepted enquiries and verified paid orders. Measurement uses product identifiers and totals; contact names, email addresses, messages, delivery addresses and private order-access tokens are excluded. Analytics is off by default. It only loads after you choose “Accept analytics” in the cookie preferences panel.

If you accept, Google Analytics may store analytics cookies on your device and receive website usage data through Google’s service. Google’s processing is subject to its own terms and privacy information. MacVault does not use this Analytics property for advertising personalization.
